Yute Expeditions Ltd | Tour Guide & Third-Generation Tourism Operator My name is Shamin Burns, and I am a proud Belizean tour guide and third-generation operator at Yute Expeditions Ltd, a family-owned tourism company established on May 18, 1990, in San Ignacio, Belize. Growing up in the tourism industry, I developed a passion for adventure, history, culture, and sharing the natural beauty of Belize with visitors from around the world. What began as a family legacy has become a personal commitment to providing authentic, memorable, and meaningful experiences. As a certified tour guide specializing in the world-famous Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Cave, Maya archaeological sites, and jungle adventures, I take pride in going beyond the typical tour experience. I believe a great guide doesn't simply show you a destination but helps you understand its history, appreciate its significance, and connect with the people and culture that make Belize special. Through Yute Expeditions Ltd, my goal is to continue building upon the foundation established by my family while bringing fresh ideas, personalized service, and a genuine passion for Belizean tourism. For me, guiding is more than a profession. It's an opportunity to share my home, preserve our heritage, and create experiences that visitors will remember long after leaving Belize.
