Hi, I'm Jérôme
I'm French and I've been living in Pucón, between the lake and the Villarrica volcano, for more than ten years. I came for the nature and stayed for the people.
I love the mountains, the rivers, the araucaria forests and everything you can experience here: climbing the volcano at dawn, rafting down the Trancura, hiking Huerquehue in autumn, ending the day in a hot spring. Over the years I've met dozens of local guides, and one thing always struck me: they are the ones who make a trip unforgettable, yet they are the hardest for a traveler to find.
From Pucón I've also created Bosques de Loncotraro, cabins in the native forest with an alliance of local adventure operators, and Parcelas Patagonia, a land portal for southern Chile. I've worked as a software developer for 25 years, so building Trekonda was the natural next step: combining what I know how to do with what I love to experience.
Why Trekonda
Big booking platforms charge high commissions and hide the guide behind an agency. Trekonda does the opposite: it shows the person, with their name, face and specialties, and lets the traveler write to them directly. We started in Pucón and are now opening other cities in Chile and Argentina.
