On the shore of Lake Lácar, wedged between mountains covered in coihue and lenga forest, San Martín is the gateway to Lanín National Park, dominated by the perfect cone of the Lanín volcano (3,776 m). The Seven Lakes Road starts here towards Villa La Angostura.

How to get there
Chapelco airport (CPC) is 20 minutes away with flights from Buenos Aires; or Bariloche airport (BRC), 3 hours via the Seven Lakes Road. Buses from Buenos Aires (20 hours), Bariloche (4 hours) and Neuquén (6 hours). From Pucón, cross the Mamuil Malal (Tromen) pass in about 3 hours, with seasonal buses.
