Nature
Uspallata is a high-altitude valley between two mountain ranges, with ochre and reddish tones that made it a filming location for movies like "Seven Years in Tibet". It sits right on Route 7, the historic road between Mendoza and Santiago de Chile, near Aconcagua Provincial Park, the highest peak in the Americas.
Activities

- Visiting the Tambillos Inca ruins and the historic Puente del Inca, a petrified hot-spring rock formation

When to go
November to March for trekking and access to Aconcagua, with mountain passes clear; the Cristo Redentor pass into Chile can close for snow in winter (June-August).
