Self-Guided Bike Experience along the Maipú Wine Route

Discover the Maipú Wine Route on a completely self-guided bike experience. The experience starts at Maipu Bikes, where we provide you with a basic 26-inch MTB bicycle, helmet, printed and digital map, a briefing about the route, and local recommendations so you can plan your day independently. The recommended route is approximately 12–16 km and mostly flat. Along the way, you can visit wineries, enjoy local cuisine and discover the landscapes of Maipú. Most of the route follows bike lanes alongside Maipú's main streets. However, some sections run alongside regular vehicle traffic, and some accesses and sections near the wineries do not have bike lanes. There are also open irrigation ditches alongside some streets. For this reason, it is important to pay attention to traffic, irrigation ditches and road conditions, and to always follow traffic rules. This is not a route completely isolated from traffic. Before setting off, we explain the map and recommended route so you can enjoy the experience independently. During the ride, we provide mechanical assistance if you need it. This is not a guided tour: there is no guide or group accompanying you during the ride. It is a self-guided experience to discover Maipú by bike, visit wineries, enjoy local cuisine and explore the area at your own pace.
