Nature
Mendoza is an oasis of vineyards at the foot of the highest mountain range in the Americas: Aconcagua (6,961 m) is three hours away. Meltwater rivers, red canyons, the Puente del Inca and the Uco and Luján de Cuyo valleys, birthplace of Malbec.

How to get there
El Plumerillo airport (MDZ) is 15 minutes from the centre, with flights from Buenos Aires (1 h 50) and Santiago de Chile (50 minutes). Buses from Buenos Aires (13 hours) and from Santiago over the Los Libertadores pass (7 to 8 hours, may close for snow in winter). The wineries of Luján and the Uco valley are visited on tours or by car.
