A lesser-known and very photogenic route towards the Argentine border. We stop at the Licancabur volcano viewpoint, cross the Quisquiro and Aguas Calientes salt flats, the Quepiaco plains and the La Pacana caldera, and reach the Monjes de la Pacana, huge rock monoliths standing on the altiplano. Breakfast included. Maximum altitude 4,800 m. Minimum age 10; not suitable during pregnancy or for people with uncontrolled high blood pressure. Avoid alcohol and red meat the night before.

Lunch. Bring warm clothes, sunglasses, sunscreen and 1.5 litres of water per person.
Meeting point
Pickup at your accommodation in San Pedro de Atacama (town area). Departure 7:00 am, back 2:00 pm.
